In order to improve the overturning speed of the cab, electric/manual hydraulic overturning mechanisms are widely used in medium and heavy trucks. Compared with the torsion bar overturning mechanism, the electric/manual hydraulic overturning mechanism adopts a dual safety structure, greatly improving safety and reliability, and can be applied to freight cars of over 10~50 tons; Compared with ordinary hydraulic flip mechanisms, using electric instead of manual can greatly shorten the flip cycle and improve efficiency. This device integrates an electric manual flipping mechanism and uses a plunger pump to drive the hydraulic cylinder. The direction of movement of the hydraulic cylinder is changed through a directional valve, so that the cab will rotate around the front support point when flipping. The entire lifting process takes about 30 seconds and the descent takes less than 20 seconds.
The working principle of a manual pump is the same as that of an electric pump. The difference is that the joystick is used to press the plunger of the manual pump up and down to pump oil. When the manual pump is working, the electric pump is locked under the action of a one-way valve.
Installation position of cab flipping mechanism
The electric/manual hydraulic flip mechanism has the advantages of small size, light weight, and high load-bearing pressure, making vehicle assembly and maintenance safer and easier. The device is installed below the rear of the cab, with one end of the hydraulic cylinder installed on the main beam of the cab and the other end installed on the longitudinal beam of the frame through a tripod. The oil pump device is installed at the junction of the driver's cab and the carriage for easy operation.
The working status of the cab flipping mechanism
The cab is flexibly connected to the frame through a locking mechanism and springs. At this point, the pump has no power supply and is not working.
The working state of the cab flipping mechanism when it rises
When confirming that the cab can be safely lifted, release the safety pin, turn the directional valve handle to the "up" position, start the motor or manually drive the flip pump to lift the cab to the desired position, then turn off the motor and insert the safety device.
The working state of the cab flipping mechanism when returning
Debugging and maintenance personnel leave the bottom of the cab, clean all tools and removed parts, release the locking mechanism, start the motor or manually drive the turnover pump, and the cab returns to its original position within 20 seconds. Then insert the safety pin to prevent misoperation and lift the cab when the car is not needed.
To ensure the safety of installation and maintenance personnel, the cab overturning cylinder can only be moved under the action of an electric/manual pump. At the same time, it is equipped with mechanical safety insurance, which means that when the cab needs to be lowered, the safety mechanism must be released to flip the oil cylinder in order to move downwards and the cab can be lowered to its original position.
